Gledswood Homestead & Winery is an historic farm wedding venue in Sydney's Macarthur region, just one hour from the CBD. Established in 1810, this picturesque country estate features a beautiful colonial homestead surrounded by manicured gardens, sweeping lawns and original sandstone and brick farm buildings. With rustic barns, old timber sheds, heritage stables and charming rural scenery, Gledswood provides an authentic countryside setting for weddings without having to travel far from Sydney.
The property's historic Shearing Shed is a standout feature, with exposed brick walls, timber beams, original tin detailing and a rustic interior that can be styled for wedding ceremonies and receptions with up to 80 seated or 140 standing guests.
Other reception spaces include the intimate Cask Room (seats 60 people) with its open fireplace and timber floors, the spacious Country Room (seats 90) with exposed rafters and sunset views, and the convict-built Cellar Door, which is ideal for relaxed cocktail celebrations for up to 80 people. For larger weddings, the Gledswood Room caters for up to 450 guests, with a timber dance floor and verandah overlooking the grounds.
