If you're looking for a unique wedding ceremony venue the Workshops Rail Museum offers several options. The most popular spots to tie the knot at the museum are in front of the grand green doors of the historic 1901 Power House, under a massive fig tree in the gardens and in front of the heritage PB 15, No444 iconic steam locomotive which puffs fog on cue at the crucial moment.
Ceremony only packages at the museum are available from $900 and are cheaper if you're also having your reception onsite. Included with venue hire is access to the grand historic buildings for wedding photos which date from the early 1900's and offer an atmospheric backdrop that oozes heritage character and ambience.

With an all-white interior and a one-of-a-kind back lit altar, White Chapel Kalbar is one of the most beautiful wedding chapels in Queensland. The modern ceremony venue is located on a quiet corner block in a quaint country town just outside of Brisbane and offers ceremony-only wedding packages as well as all-inclusive packages with receptions in Black Hall on the same block.
The chapel comes fully furnished with elegant white bentwood chairs, a beautiful French signing table and plinths and urns at the unique wedding altar. Behind the chapel are private gardens for wedding photos, a covered courtyard with a fireplace for post-ceremony drinks, a lawn (that's can be used as an outdoor ceremony space) and a rustic barn bar beside the gorgeous Hampton's inspired reception barn.
All inclusive elopement packages are available from $6,250 with a celebrant & photographer, flowers, grazing station with drinks and wedding cake.

Darling St Chapel is a traditional ceremony venue that has undergone a brilliant renovation creating a modern, light-filled interior with a bar and commercial kitchen. The chapel hosts non-denominational weddings for couples of all backgrounds & orientations and can be transformed into a reception space for all in one weddings while guests mingle in the courtyard.
Venue hire for marriage ceremonies is $1,250 and includes 1.5 hours exclusive use with a red carpet walkway, Tiffany chairs and in house styling including florals. Micro wedding packages including a small reception are available for under $5,000 for up to 30 guests and full reception packages start at $95 per person.

Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens is a four acre wedding ceremony venue located just 18km from the Brisbane CBD. There are two ceremony sites on the property being an outdoor deck with rustic paving and a timber pavilion with weatherproof roof. Both sites are surrounded by beautiful rainforest, lush landscaped gardens and shaded by century old trees.
All wedding ceremony packages include Americana chairs, signing table and 2 hours venue hire with access to the gardens for photos. Elopement packages have the addition of a celebrant, 1 hour photography, a grazing platter and beverage service.

This vibrant café offers all inclusive wedding ceremony packages including exclusive use of the ceremony area for 2 hours, set up of furniture and post ceremony grazing platters & drinks.
8. Rainforest Gardens

Rainforest Gardens is one of the most incredible wedding ceremony venues in the Brisbane area. Located just 40 minutes from the CBD, the amphitheatre and adjoining chapel are surrounded by a 40 year old hoop pine forest overlooking views of the Moreton Bay coastline.
Ceremony only wedding packages start at $2,500 including 2 hour venue hire, use of the amphitheatre and chapel with signing table & chairs and endless photo opportunities. Venue hire comes with a collection of mismatched vintage furniture and with panelled timber walls there is little need for hire of an altar. Post-ceremony drinks packages are available at the bar.

The Turbine Platform can be hired without the need to hire a reception venue, although the site does have some incredible places for dining & dancing after.
